Albert Einstein was born in Germany in 1914. For political reasons he renounced his German citizenship and immigrated in the autumn of 1933 to Princeton, New York.
He then started a professorship for the Institute for Advanced Study.

Joseph Pulitzer

Joseph Pulitzer was born in Hungary in 1847. He came to
U. S. and helped fight with the Union side in the Civil War.
He later managed to get a job in St. Louis as an editor of a German language paper. As time went on, he gained more business power. He eventually puchased the New York World. He also proposed building a pedastal for the Statue of Liberty so we could receive it from France.

Andrew Carnagie

Andrew Carnagie was born in Scotland in 1835. His family immigrated to the U. S. in 1848 because his father's business was failing due to the Industrial Revolution decreasing the value of small family owned businesses. His love of reading allowed him to increas his knowledge and he eventually became Superintendent of the Western Division of the Pennsylvania Railroad.
